The Anglican Foundation of Canada has distributed more than $23 million among every Canadian diocese in its 49 year history.
Facts about the Foundation:
- The Anglican Foundation of Canada was established in 1957 as a separate corporation within the Anglican Church of Canada, distinct from General Synod.
- Its mandate is to support and assist the work of the Church across Canada.
Our Program:
- To help build or renovate Church buildings, including rectories and parish halls.
- To help make Church buildings handicapped-accessible.
- To support a wide variety of other ministries including:
- Church camps
- Conferences and programs
- Publications
- Bursaries for theological students

The Anglican Foundation is maintained by:
- Memberships
- ‘In memoriam’ and other donations
- Bequests
- Investments
- Annuities and trusts
- A talented volunteer investment committee oversees the financial resources of the Foundation and advises the Directors and the Treasurer.
The Directors meet regularly to consider applications and to approve loans and grants as well as to concur with decisions taken by those with particular responsibility for each of 26 donor-designated trusts.
