2025 Annual report

In 2025, the Anglican Foundation of Canada experienced a year of growing confidence, deepening generosity, and meaningful impact across the Church.

Thanks to the faithful support of our donor family, volunteers, and ministry partners, AFC awarded more than $1 million in grants for the fifth consecutive year—supporting ministries that are responding to local needs with compassion, creativity, and hope.

One of the clearest signs of momentum this year was the continued growth in annual membership giving. More parishes, dioceses, and individuals chose to support AFC’s work, and many existing donors increased their level of support. These results reflect more than successful fundraising. They point to a growing understanding that AFC is a trusted way to invest in ministry across Canada.

In 2025, we also saw Community Ministries continue to emerge as a defining area of impact for the Foundation. Across the country, Anglican communities are responding to challenges related to food insecurity, isolation, housing, reconciliation, and pastoral care—often through partnerships rooted in dignity, belonging, and practical compassion. AFC is honoured to help support that work.

At the same time, we continued important investments in youth ministry, theological education, sacred arts, Indigenous ministries, and infrastructure renewal, helping communities strengthen both their immediate ministries and their long-term capacity for mission.

This year also marked important progress in legacy and planned giving. The launch of the Anglican Foundation Legacy Society, along with new diocesan partnership initiatives such as the Anne Germond Legacy Fund in the Diocese of Algoma, reflects a growing commitment to building sustainable resources for the future of the Church.

As AFC continues its strategic planning work, we remain focused on thoughtful stewardship, meaningful impact, and strong partnerships across the Anglican Church of Canada.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, parish, diocesan leader, and ministry partner who made 2025 such a remarkable year. Your generosity continues to strengthen Anglican ministry across Canada and create new possibilities for the future of the Church.
