Announcing the 2015 RFP Recipients!

The Anglican Foundation of Canada is proud to announce the five $10,000 grant recipients for 2015’s Request For Proposals (RFP) process. The theme for 2015 was new community service or outreach projects that involve interfaith collaboration.

Wisdom of the Elders is a program connecting Aboriginal Elders with at-risk city youth to share cultural and spiritual teachings.

St Peter’s Anglican Church, Williams Lake, BC
Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior
The Williams Lake Interfaith Circle will develop inclusive, compassionate collaboration and conversations of understanding with Christian, Buddhist, First Nations, and Sikh communities, based on the 2009 Charter for Compassion.

Diocese of Edmonton, Edmonton, AB
The Congregational Poverty Action Guide will be a resource booklet for faith communities in support of the EndPoverty Edmonton initiative, developed in partnership with Beth Shalom Synagogue and other faith groups.

Renison University College, Waterloo, ON

Dealing With Our Darknesses is a series of three Anglican–Muslim community conversations about transgression, penitence, and transformation with a goal of building understanding and awareness in an atmosphere of respectful conversation.

Christ’s Church Cathedral, Hamilton, ON
Diocese of Niagara
The Downstairs Kitchen is an interfaith community kitchen, jointly organized by Christians and Muslims, which will provide ESL classes, and other job skills training to the local community.
