National Church Ministries Team up to Support Advent Appeals
As the Canada Post strike continues to impact charitable appeals across Canada, the Anglican Church of Canada philanthropic partners—the Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC), Giving with Grace, and The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (Alongside Hope)—have teamed up on a downloadable church bulletin that parishes can use in their weekly communications.
“Historically, more than half of AFC’s annual membership comes to our Toronto office by mail during the months of November and December” says Michelle Hauser, Development & Communications Officer. Hauser says AFC has created a toll-free donation hotline at 1-877-354-6387, “and we are also able to accept e-transfers through a special email that has been set up, [email protected].”
Hauser explains that it made good sense for all philanthropic partners to work together on a joint communication. “Virtually all AFC members are also donors to Giving with Grace and PWRDF (Alongside Hope), and we wanted the churches that champion our respective ministries to have one easy-to-use resource.”
