AFC Awards $250,100 in May 2022 Grant Cycle
MAY 30, 2022, TORONTO, ONTARIO—The Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC) has announced $250,100 in funding to support projects across Canada in its May 2022 cycle of awards. AFC’s board of directors met via Zoom on May 25-26 and awarded grants to 30 applicants in 13 dioceses.
In addition to Diverse Infrastructure grants of $134,600, AFC provided $39,000 for Leadership and Education, including bursaries for theological students, $35,000 towards Community Ministry projects, $23,800 to Indigenous Ministries, and $17,700 for Sacred Music & Liturgical Arts.
“Thanks to the generosity and loyalty of AFC members,” says Dr. Scott Brubacher, Executive Director, “AFC can blaze new trails while holding steadfast to familiar ground, continuing to provide abundant resources for the Anglican Church of Canada.”

- Holy Trinity, Welland, ON (Diocese of Niagara): Welland Community Breakfast Program at Holy Trinity, $15,000
- Trinity Anglican Church, Old Ottawa South, ON (Diocese of Ottawa): An Intentional Community for Youth, $15,000
INDIGENOUS MINISTRIES
- Diocese of Edmonton, AB: Indigenous Birth Support Worker, $15,000
- Arthur Turner Training School, Yellowknife, NT: Experiential Ministry Training, $8,800
SACRED MUSIC & LITURGIAL ARTS
