Diocesan Representative for Yukon
I have admired the Anglican Foundation for many years. I’m blessed to be part of the Diocese of Yukon, where every parish maintains membership. Our diocese has received over $100,000 from AFC, primarily to enhance ministry and maintain our buildings in the harsh northern Canadian conditions. One parish improved accessibility for those with mobility issues and greatly improved their kitchen where they maintain a food bank and a free weekly lunch for those in need. The parish where I serve recently received $5,000 to help replace the rectory’s failing heating system—essential when it is regularly below -30°C in the winter. I’m a proud member of AFC, serving as a Diocesan Representative for the Foundation, because of the generosity it shows to essential ministries in financially challenged areas and new innovative ministries across Canada.
