The generous grant we received in 2017 for the curriculum project “Teach Us to Love” at St. John’s West Toronto has been invaluable in the development of a progressive curriculum that focuses on equality of the human person as found in the life, witness, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. This curriculum strives to deconstruct the colonialism, patriarchy, and inequality around and in the history of our inherited faith. The curriculum work is being done by a dedicated group of very qualified volunteers. The grant has provided us with funds for graphic design, formatting, visual aid, and visual media. This has been invaluable, and we hope to offer a lectionary-based curriculum that will benefit the church at large. This curriculum would not be possible without the grant. We are very grateful for the Anglican Foundation’s vision and courage in funding this project.
