Legacy of Hope Grows

A Dozen Founding Members Have Come Forward

Support for the Anglican Foundation of Canada’s Legacy Society continues to grow, as Anglicans from across the country choose to invest in the future of ministry through planned giving.

Established in 2025, the Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have included the Anglican Foundation of Canada in their estate plans and who have shared that intention with AFC. Their commitments reflect a deep belief in the future of the Church and a desire to ensure that Anglican ministries continue to serve communities across Canada for generations to come.

Twelve founding members have now stepped forward to help shape this growing legacy of faith, generosity, and hope.

Among them are Walter Howell, Treasurer of the Anglican Foundation of Canada, and Barbara and Brian Crow, long-time supporters of AFC and its ministry partnerships.

“It’s important for people to know that when they give to the Foundation, their money is being looked after properly and stewarded for the purposes that have been set out,” says Walter Howell, Treasurer of the Anglican Foundation of Canada. “That kind of trust matters—and it’s why I’m proud to support AFC as a founding member of the Legacy Society.”

Together, these commitments reflect the spirit at the heart of the Legacy Society: faithful stewardship, long-term vision, and a shared desire to strengthen the Church’s ministry for the future.

Those who join the Legacy Society through the end of 2027, AFC’s 70th anniversary year, will be recognized as founding members.
