More Founding Members Come Forward
Momentum continues to build for the Anglican Foundation’s Legacy Society, as more donors from across the Anglican Church of Canada step forward to join this growing circle of generosity.
Established in 2025, the Legacy Society recognizes those who have chosen to support AFC through a planned gift and who have shared that intention with the Foundation. Their commitments are helping to strengthen the future of Anglican ministry in Canada while offering a powerful witness of faith, gratitude, and hope.

“I am delighted to become a founding member of the Anglican Foundation Legacy Society,” says Canon David Phillip Jones, K.C., former Chancellor of General Synod and former Chancellor of the Diocese of Edmonton. “The Church’s needs will continue to change, and it is important to support institutions that can respond wisely and effectively where help is most needed.”
“I am happy to join the Legacy Society and grateful for the leadership the Foundation is providing,” says the Very Rev. Peter Elliott, former Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver. “The Anglican Foundation has strengthened ministry across Canada, and I am glad to help support that mission for the future.”
Their participation is a reminder that legacy giving is about more than financial planning. It is about carrying forward the values and ministries that matter most, and ensuring future generations inherit a Church equipped to serve with courage and compassion.
Those who join the Legacy Society through the end of 2027, AFC’s 70th anniversary year, will be recognized as founding members.
