“Once again, AFC donors have responded generously to the annual fundraising effort, expected to total more than $205,000—$178,000 in annual membership donations, plus over $27,000 in donations to AFC’s core granting funds, including the new Community Ministries Fund. It is always a joy to read your affirming comments, entrusting AFC with your gifts, and celebrating the ways that we supported transformative ministry.”

The genesis of the Sacred Arts Trust was many years in the making and was rooted in the late Graham Cotter’s years as a parish priest (1965 to 1983) in the Diocese of Toronto. During those years, Graham promoted the making of liturgical vestments and the use of drama in worship. Since its inception, the trust has funded innovative faith-based projects in the performing and visual arts in more than thirteen dioceses.

The submission deadline for the 2024 Request for Proposals (RFP) “Ecumenical Embrace” has been extended to April 1, 2025! AFC will continue to consider project applications from Anglicans across Canada who wish to share an ecumenical embrace with our fellow Christians from the Oriental Orthodox Churches. Potential applicants are encouraged to reach out to the AFC team to discuss eligibility and project ideas.

“Seventy-five percent of SYTK survey respondents told us they use the campaign to create a sustainable revenue stream for an ongoing ministry and that it’s an important source of funding for them,” says Dr. Scott Brubacher. “We also heard how influential the AFC Angel Donor matching gift program has been. We are all very grateful to the lead donors who, over the past 4 years, have championed this cause with donations totaling more than $100,000.”
