I have come to know first-hand the great work of the Anglican Foundation through what it has done in our diocese. AFC has assisted many parishes by providing financial resources for infrastructure projects, such as the basement renovations at St. Margaret’s Church for classrooms for youth and children’s programing, and the renovations to our Diocesan Office, which enabled the local Lutheran Synod Office to share space in our building (the first shared Anglican/Lutheran Office in Canada). AFC has also supported diocesan programs that respond to God’s call for mission and service, such as “Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Healing”—an initiative of our Diocesan Urban Indigenous Ministry program, and enhanced diocesan communications with the introduction of weekly e-news and an e-Magazine in place of print issues of the Rupert’s Land News.
I am a donor because I can see the very real difference AFC is making in supporting the mission of God’s Church both in Rupert’s Land and throughout Canada, and I want to be a part of it.
