We’re packing our bags and boarding the plane! Flying out west to begin AFC’s first-ever Great Canadian Road Trip! We will spend the summer meeting some of our 2020 grant recipients and learning more about their creative and compassionate initiatives.

With the holiday weekend approaching, AFC is celebrating summer by catching up with our furry fundraising ambassador, Hope Bear.

As the world moves toward pandemic recovery, communities across the country are looking to the re-opening of churches as hubs for essential activities. For two spring 2021 grant recipients—St. John’s, Fort Smith, NT, and St. Brice’s, North Bay, ON—AFC grants for parish hall projects have been timely.

AFC’s spring 2021 granting cycle included a Yes! to the Capella Regalis Men & Boys Choir, in Halifax, NS. The $5,000 grant was enabled by the A.E.J. Fulford Trust for sacred music, which has been helping musicians, young and old, to imagine more for nearly fifty years.

The Anglican Foundation of Canada celebrated the close of the Say Yes! to Kids campaign today with a Celebration of Giving via ZOOM to announce the final result of the campaign: over $110,000. The Rev. Canon Dr. Judy Rois, Executive Director, AFC, thanked AFC’s friends and volunteers—Board Directors, Diocesan Representatives, Bishops, and diocesan staff champions—who carried the banner for Say Yes! to Kids in their dioceses.
