$10,000 Matching Gift!

“Our Diocesan ACW has long supported both Say Yes! to Kids and Camp Huron,” says Pam Walters, Diocesan ACW President. “We were proud to offer a matching gift in 2024, and we’re just as proud to do so again in 2025. Fire Talk

Approximately half of the national proceeds from the Anglican Foundation of Canada’s 2024 Say Yes! to Kids campaign are helping to launch Fire Talk, a new Indigenous youth mental health initiative. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see Say Yes! to Kids supporting this kind of transformative work,” says Dr. Scott Brubacher, Executive Director of AFC. “With this grant, the national total for Indigenous youth initiatives funded by Say Yes! to Kids now stands at $50,000—and we’re just getting started.”

Q1 Grants

At its meeting on February 27, 2025, the AFC Board approved $148,500 in funding for 11 applicants, including: $50,000 to St. Saviour’s Pro-Cathedral, Nelson, BC. Through the Community Ministries Fund, AFC is supporting churches across Canada who are ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors have access to nourishing meals and welcoming spaces.
