Meet AFC Bursary Recipients

AFC recognizes that in today’s fast-paced and complex environment, church leaders need to be versatile and have a broad range of knowledge to anticipate and lead change. Legacy Spotlight: The A.E.J. Fulford Trust

AFC’s spring 2021 granting cycle included a Yes! to the Capella Regalis Men & Boys Choir, in Halifax, NS. The $5,000 grant was enabled by the A.E.J. Fulford Trust for sacred music, which has been helping musicians, young and old, to imagine more for nearly fifty years.

You Said Yes!

The Anglican Foundation of Canada celebrated the close of the Say Yes! to Kids campaign today with a Celebration of Giving via ZOOM to announce the final result of the campaign: over $110,000. The Rev. Canon Dr. Judy Rois, Executive Director, AFC, thanked AFC’s friends and volunteers—Board Directors, Diocesan Representatives, Bishops, and diocesan staff champions—who carried the banner for Say Yes! to Kids in their dioceses.

Arctic Youth say Yes!

The Anglican Foundation of Canada’s (AFC) Say Yes! to Kids campaign has united volunteer fundraisers from across the country. As the campaign enters its final week, AFC is celebrating the efforts of one of its youngest fundraising teams: St. John’s & St. Andrew’s Kids, a partnership between the youth at St. John’s, Fort Smith, and St. Andrew’s, Hay River, two very community-focused churches in the Diocese of the Arctic.

Campaign hits $100,000 goal!

The first gift to the Say Yes! to Kids campaign came on March 25, and it was given by a 14 year-old boy—sharing money, set aside as a periodic tithe from his allowance. The gift that helped us officially achieve our $100,000 goal came on June 24, from a retired priest, now in his 90s.

Winnipeg says Yes!

The Anglican Foundation of Canada’s (AFC) Say Yes! to Kids campaign received a $2,500 donation from St. Luke’s, Winnipeg, bringing the national campaign, now in its final week, to nearly $95,000.
