The Anglican Foundation of Canada became an important part of my ministry when I was appointed stewardship consultant and eventually senior national gift planning officer of General Synod.

AFC grants and loans have allowed parishes to take that bold step forward in their ministry plans with the financial support they need to begin and continue work and ministry.

As the recipient of two bursaries, and as a witness to the work of the Foundation, I continue to be a donor and speak of the Foundation often as a way to encourage my parishioners to be members also.

St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary is deeply grateful to the Anglican Foundation for supporting innovative ministry and enabling projects we could not have otherwise undertaken.

The Anglican Diocese of Ottawa Archives is a donor because, in our gratitude for what the Anglican Foundation has done for us, we trust that our support of the Foundation will be paid forward to the benefit of other worthy projects.

St. Laurence Calgary is a small parish that dreams big. We dreamed of a virtual centre or network that would help with the work renewing our collective spiritual life in the 21st century.

I was privileged to visit with members of the Armenian Apostolic Church in 1998 with the support of a Scholarship of St. Basil the Great through the Anglican Foundation.

Our Diocese was in the beginning of casting a new vision for ministry with Bishop John Watton’s first Charge to Synod, when we read the 2017 Request for Proposals from the Anglican Foundation.

The funding from the Foundation was a small part of the total budget, but it gave parishioners a sense that they were not alone in supporting our building and presence in the community.
